Louis Vuitton is welcoming spring (well in the Northen Hemisphere, at least) with the second drop of the re-edition of its collaboration with Japanese artist Takashi Murakami, this time focusing on the Cherry Blossom motif. As captioned in her Instagram post, ‘drop 2 @louisvuitton’ – sharing with her 180.2 million followers. Working with a fashion powerhouse like Louis Vuitton comes easily for style giants like Zendaya. She has worked hard for it, and we can’t help but admire it.

Marie Claire called her the best style MVP, declaring, “Zendaya is the real MVP of celebrity style in 2024.” We can’t argue with that; in fact, we bet she’ll still be at the top by the end of this year. She has dominated fashion houses, our TV screens, and the music sphere. Zendaya has set trends across the creative industry, remaining bold about it, all while doing it with the utmost style and grace. What a perfect fit for Louis Vuitton.

She starred in a campaign with the brand late last year and is now back with another bag – the Takashi Murakami Reedition! The visuals, shot by the renowned Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, juxtapose softly lit cityscapes with Murakami’s smiling pink flower heads and petals, perfectly capturing the essence of the Cherry Blossom motif. These new images will break in print worldwide on Saturday.

“This campaign for Louis Vuitton × Murakami chapter two continues the era-hopping celebration of both the reedition collection’s contemporary relevance and the original collaboration’s status as a seminal moment in 21st-century fashion, collector, and popular culture,” the brand said in a statement.

The second chapter of the collection, arriving in stores on 21 March 2025, is sure to turn heads. It’s time for pre-orders to roll in. After Zendaya’s post, some may have already started placing theirs. That’s the power of influence. That’s the power of being a world-renowned firehouse: dropping one thing, and letting all jaws drop too.

Some of her followers had this to say under her campaign post:
‘Never seen a shoot you don’t eat up.’
‘If Zendaya had chosen modelling or music, a lot of these girls would be in trouble.’
‘The campaign that keeps on giving.’

It’s safe to say that Zendaya has won the hearts of many in the fashion and creative worlds, and the top fashion powerhouses have recognised her. And with that, it’s a fashion wrap!
