Fashion was as much a spectacle as the racing at this year’s Hollywoodbets Durban July, with guests embracing the event’s Country Allure theme through bold designs, elegant tailoring and distinctly South African flair.
Inspired by the charm of the countryside, equestrian heritage and South Africa’s natural beauty, the theme encouraged racegoers to combine rustic sophistication with contemporary glamour.
Country Allure comes to life
Across Greyville Racecourse, earthy colour palettes, luxurious fabrics, dramatic silhouettes and richly textured garments dominated the fashion scene.
Some guests opted for timeless country-inspired looks featuring tweed, suede and wide-brimmed hats, while others interpreted the theme through contemporary African fashion, showcasing vibrant prints, bold textures and statement accessories.

Fashion awards celebrate standout style
Style enthusiasts also competed in the annual Hollywoodbets Durban July Raceday Fashion Awards, with 150 entrants vying for honours in four categories:
- Most Striking Couple
- Classic Racewear – Female
- Classic Racewear – Male
- Exceptional Raceday Hat or Fascinator
