Louis Vuitton has unveiled its new Cape Town store at the V&A Waterfront, introducing an elevated luxury shopping experience that combines fashion, art, design and South African creativity in one destination.
Located in the Victoria Wharf Shopping Centre, the new boutique showcases the House’s latest Men’s and Women’s collections while offering exclusive private shopping experiences overlooking the Victoria Basin.
A new luxury destination in Cape Town
The new Louis Vuitton store has been designed as an immersive retail space where clients can explore a carefully curated selection of leather goods, ready-to-wear collections, shoes, accessories and Les Parfums Louis Vuitton.
One of the boutique’s standout features is the Winter Garden, a tranquil space overlooking the harbour that provides an exclusive setting for private appointments and special occasions.

Inspired by Louis Vuitton’s heritage
Visitors are welcomed through an intricately carved wooden façade inspired by the House’s iconic Epi leather.
Inside, Women’s leather goods are displayed against handcrafted Japanese wallpaper featuring a striking V-shaped pattern, while custom rifted oak seating invites guests to browse Women’s accessories and fragrances.
The boutique then branches into two distinct spaces.
Dedicated worlds for women and men
The Women’s universe features ready-to-wear fashion, leather goods, shoes and accessories surrounded by macramé wall panels inspired by Louis Vuitton’s signature Monogram flowers.
The Men’s area offers a warm, sophisticated atmosphere with richly toned French oak finishes, custom leather furnishings, ready-to-wear collections, footwear and accessories.

The Winter Garden brings nature indoors
At the heart of the boutique is the Winter Garden, designed as a peaceful oasis where guests can enjoy an intimate shopping experience.
Filled with lush greenery beneath a bamboo-inspired ceiling, the space features floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking Cape Town’s harbour, creating a seamless connection between the interior and the surrounding waterfront.
Celebrating African creativity
The new store also celebrates local craftsmanship by incorporating furniture from South African design brand Weylandts alongside artwork by Namibian artist Nicky Marais.
Historic Louis Vuitton trunks and pieces from the House’s Objets Nomades collection complete the space, blending the brand’s heritage with contemporary African design.

Louis Vuitton’s history in Cape Town
Louis Vuitton first opened in Cape Town in December 2007 before reconfiguring its original boutique in August 2019.
On 30 July 2026, the luxury brand officially relocated its V&A Waterfront store to its new home within the Victoria Wharf Shopping Centre.
The boutique is open daily from 9am to 9pm.
