Emergency services took celebrity blogger Perez Hilton to a Miami hospital on Tuesday, 4 August 2026, after viewers raised concerns about his safety during a TikTok livestream.
Hilton, whose legal name is Mario Lavandeira, appeared distressed during the broadcast and seemed to harm himself.
Several social media users contacted emergency services, leading police and medical personnel to respond to his home.
Crisis teams called to Miami home
Deputies from the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office and crisis response teams were sent to Hilton’s home in the Westchester neighbourhood.
Authorities said Hilton was alone inside the property during the incident.
Deputies communicated with him and followed de-escalation procedures before bringing him to safety. Officers also worked with family members who were at the scene.
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue then transported Hilton to a nearby hospital for urgent physical and mental health assessments.
TikTok account suspended
TikTok removed the livestream soon after it appeared on the platform.
Hilton’s account was subsequently suspended.
Representatives request privacy
Golden Artists Entertainment, which represents Hilton, acknowledged the troubling material shared during the livestream.
The company said it was working to establish what had happened. His representatives placed the health and privacy of Hilton and his family first.
No further information about his condition was provided.
