The Race to Mahindra Fusion Fest 2026 Is On

1k

The countdown has officially begun. Mahindra Fusion Fest returns for its highly anticipated second edition in March 2026, once again taking over the iconic SunBet Arena in Pretoria with a bold, immersive celebration of South African creativity.

Following a groundbreaking debut, Mahindra Fusion Fest 2026 is back by overwhelming demand and promises to be bigger, louder and more ambitious. Designed as a cultural movement rather than a once-off event, the festival brings together boundary-breaking music performances, cutting-edge fashion and striking visual art in a powerful showcase of collaboration and expression.

Speaking ahead of the lifestyle extravaganza, Rajesh Gupta, CEO of Mahindra South Africa, says the festival represents more than entertainment:

“Fusion Fest is more than a festival; it reflects the youthful vibrancy and diversity of the Rainbow Nation. It brings Mahindra’s Rise philosophy to life by showing how creativity and collaboration unite different voices into something more powerful. As Mahindra moves deeper into its third decade in South Africa, Fusion Fest 2026 builds on that foundation, driven by the belief that we rise strongest when we rise together.”

This year’s edition features four genre-defying fusion performances, each representing South Africa’s past, present and future. Every performance pairs music with fashion designers and visual artists, creating a seamless, multi-sensory experience.

Fusion 1: Rewind the Revolution
Music: Zöe Modiga leads a nostalgic journey from 1994 to today alongside Mafikizolo, Kurt Darren and Claire Johnston.
Fashion: Imprint by Mzukisi Mbane
Art: Durban-born multidisciplinary artist Shaun “Damn Vandal” Oakley, known for his bold pop-art aesthetic.

Fusion 2: Hip Hop Most High
Music: BLXCKIE and Maglera Doe Boy join forces with the Tshwane Gospel Choir for a powerful fusion of hip-hop and spiritual praise.
Fashion: The Bam Collective by Jacques Bam
Art: Award-winning illustrator and motion designer Ndumiso Nyoni.

Fusion 3: Femme for All
Music: A female-powered collaboration featuring Naledi Aphiwe, Karen Zoid, Nomfundo Moh and Mariechan, celebrating women across generations.
Art: Internationally acclaimed director and visual artist Inka Kendzia.

Fusion 4: All About Now
Music: Zee Nxumalo, Focalistic and Daliwonga headline a contemporary amapiano showcase.
Fashion: Munkus by Thando Ntuli
Art: Cape Town muralist and illustrator Bushy Wopp.

At the heart of Mahindra Fusion Fest 2026 is a national talent search, inviting South Africans to enter across three categories inspired by the festival’s core pillars: Music, Fashion and Art

Top creators in each category will win R30 000 in cash and secure a coveted spotlight moment on the main Fusion Fest stage. Entries close on Saturday, 31 January 2026.
