Marvel Studios delivered one of the biggest presentations of San Diego Comic-Con, with President and Producer Kevin Feige unveiling major announcements for the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The Hall H showcase featured new details about Avengers: Doomsday, the official announcement of a new Ghost Rider film starring Ryan Gosling, and the surprise reveal of the next Black Panther.

Avengers: Doomsday takes centre stage

Feige was joined by directors Anthony and Joe Russo, along with an all-star cast from Avengers: Doomsday, including Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Pedro Pascal, Paul Rudd, Anthony Mackie, Simu Liu, James Marsden, David Harbour, Letitia Wright, Lewis Pullman, Kelsey Grammer, Danny Ramirez, Winston Duke, Hannah John-Kamen, Rebecca Romijn and Tenoch Huerta Mejia.

Hayley Atwell also confirmed she will reprise her role as Peggy Carter.

Fans attending Hall H received Doctor Doom masks and cloaks before Robert Downey Jr., who returns as Victor von Doom, invited the audience to wear them during the presentation.

Marvel also screened exclusive footage from the upcoming film.

According to Marvel Studios, Avengers: Doomsday will see heroes from three different universes collide as they face “an existential threat unlike anything they’ve ever encountered.”

The film is directed by Anthony and Joe Russo and produced by Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito and Jonathan Schwartz.

Additional cast members include Chris Hemsworth, Florence Pugh, Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Wyatt Russell, Channing Tatum, Ian McKellen, Tom Hiddleston, Patrick Stewart, Joseph Quinn, Sebastian Stan, Kathryn Newton, Alan Cumming and Mabel Cadena.

Ryan Gosling confirmed as Ghost Rider

One of the biggest surprises of the presentation came when Feige officially announced that Marvel Studios is developing a new Ghost Rider film.

Ryan Gosling will star in the lead role, with Shawn Levy directing the project.

Jonathan Tropper has been confirmed as the screenwriter.

Ghost Rider is scheduled for release in cinemas in 2028.

Jon Bernthal joins Spider-Man: Brand New Day

Jon Bernthal made a surprise appearance during the panel to discuss his return as Frank Castle, also known as The Punisher, in Spider-Man: Brand New Day.

Fans in Hall H were treated to an exclusive early look at the film.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day, from Sony Pictures, arrives in cinemas on 31 July 2026.

Black Panther 3 gets a major reveal

Ryan Coogler joined Feige on stage to discuss Black Panther 3, confirming he will return as writer and director.

Letitia Wright and Winston Duke also appeared to announce that the film will be released in cinemas on 15 December 2028.

In one of the presentation’s biggest surprises, Coogler revealed David Jonsson as the new Black Panther.
