Week eight of Big Brother Mzansi delivered another dramatic live eviction as two housemates exited the Bazozwa house.
Following the Sunday night live show on 8 March, King Wanda and The Don became the latest contestants to leave the competition, reducing the number of remaining housemates to eight.
A jungle-themed eviction night
The Live Eviction Show opened with a performance of Lutho by De Rose alongside DJ Jaivane, Smaki 08 and Wesley Keys.
Host Smash Afrika welcomed viewers to the jungle-themed stage, remarking that it had been “a wild week” inside the house.
House dynamics under pressure
House of House (HoH) Ashay reflected on leading the house for a second consecutive week, particularly after another failed wager task.
Ashay admitted he felt partly responsible for the outcome, saying he should have been firmer in guiding the housemates. The loss had an emotional impact, especially after the group forfeited their messages from home.
Housemate Liema said the penalty hit her particularly hard because she had been hoping to hear encouraging words from her family.
First eviction of the night
The tension eased briefly when Que was declared safe, continuing his streak of survival after being nominated for eviction multiple times since the first week of the competition.
Thandeka and Liema were also confirmed safe.
However, the news was not as positive for King Wanda, who became the first housemate evicted that evening.
On stage, King Wanda told Smash Afrika he had many thoughts racing through his mind but was especially excited to reunite with his daughter.
The Don follows shortly after
Before revealing the final eviction result, Smash questioned housemate Didi about her game strategy, suggesting she appeared to be overshadowed by fellow contestants Trixie and Liema.
Didi responded that she was simply playing the game without a strict strategy.
Moments later, The Don was announced as the second housemate to leave the Bazozwa house.
Speaking emotionally on stage, he admitted the experience had been mentally exhausting and shared that he missed Neliswa, whose earlier disqualification he believed had been unfair.
With two more housemates leaving the competition, the race for the Big Brother Mzansi title continues with only eight contestants remaining.
