ACE Models International has announced new strategic shareholders at the head office level, marking the start of a major expansion phase focused on international growth, brand development and youth empowerment.
Founded in 2005, ACE Models has grown into an established modelling and personal development institution with more than 30 active franchise locations across Africa and Australia. Further international expansion is already underway.
Beyond Modelling: A Youth Development Brand
ACE positions itself as more than a modelling academy. The organisation focuses on confidence-building, leadership development and preparing young people to step into professional environments with strong communication and presentation skills.
With over two decades of industry experience, the brand has built a reputation as a structured youth development platform that combines industry exposure with personal growth.
New Shareholders to Drive Global Expansion
The expanded shareholder structure introduces fresh capital aimed at strengthening public relations, marketing, franchise support and international market entry.
The next growth phase includes the launch of at least 15 new franchises across:
• South Africa
• Broader Africa
• The United Arab Emirates
• The United States
CEO Joani Jacobs says the investment reflects confidence in the business model and increasing demand for structured youth development programmes.
“ACE Models has always been about far more than modelling. Our mission is to build confident young people who step into the world as leaders, professionals and role models. This new investment allows us to scale that impact into new territories while maintaining the values and standards the brand is known for,” she says.

Franchise Model Creates Entrepreneur Pathways
Operations Director Ari Powell, who leads franchise growth, says expansion is also about entrepreneurship.
“Our franchise model is designed to create sustainable and financially successful businesses for aspiring entrepreneurs while delivering meaningful programmes for students. Many of our franchise owners are women building their own successful businesses while positively impacting their communities. Expansion means more opportunities, more jobs and stronger local leadership.”
The model aims to create local business owners while maintaining centralised brand standards and operational support.
Media, Pageantry and Global Talent
Development Director and shareholder Cindy Nell-Roberts, former Miss South Africa and international television presenter, says ACE sits at the intersection of media, youth development and global opportunity.
“ACE Models has helped shape the journeys of many successful international models and public figures, including Miss Universe Demi-Lee Nel-Peters, who trained with ACE for many years. But our greatest success stories are the thousands of young people whose confidence, communication skills and leadership ability were transformed through the programme. As we grow globally, our purpose remains the same: to change lives.”
As the global modelling industry expands and South Africa continues to produce internationally recognised talent, ACE Models aims to strengthen its role as a leading confidence and development academy for the next generation.
