An Intimate Night with Robin Pieters in Cape Town

The Big Birthday Bash brings fans together to celebrate acclaimed South African vocalist Robin Pieters in a special live showcase.

Led by LRI Productions, the event promises an evening of music, laughter and heartfelt connection.

Titled An Intimate Night with Robin Pieters & Morne Meyer, the exclusive concert takes place on Saturday, 21 February 2026 at Fairbairn College in Cape Town.

A Powerful Musical Reunion

Joining Robin on stage is renowned musician Dr Morne Meyer, creating a stripped-back and personal live experience.

The duo recently joined Inbound SA for an On The Couch conversation, where humour and brotherhood took centre stage.

Morne shared how their friendship began 18 years ago at an event where Robin was performing, and Morne was ministering as a pastor.

“We clicked immediately and were inseparable ever since,” he said.

Robin reflected on their long-standing bond. “We have been through so many trials and tribulations together. The chemistry is real. We don’t need a script. Intimacy comes organically to us because of our long-term relationship.”

What to Expect on the Night

The show will not feature a full band. Instead, the focus is on storytelling, vocals and a single keyboard player.

Robin hinted at what audiences can expect. “The show is going to reveal a lot of our most recent encounters. There will be laughs, tears, songs and a keyboard player. I didn’t want a full band. It’s an intimate evening.”

The format allows space for raw moments and honest reflection, while celebrating Robin’s birthday with those who have supported his journey.

Coming Home

Morne, who has lived in Ohio, United States, for nine years, spoke about the joy of returning to South Africa and to his birthplace, Worcester.

“There’s something special about coming home. I love the culture and the food, although my palate has changed tremendously.”

He laughed about his early culture shock in the US, recalling how he tried to set up a traditional washing line before neighbours informed him that tumble dryers were the norm.

More Than a Concert

A representative from LRI Productions described the evening as more than a live show.

“This is a celebration of music, life and the incredible support Robin has received from his fans and community. We’re creating a warm atmosphere where audiences can celebrate alongside him and experience his artistry in a truly special way.”
