A gripping new historical drama lands on screens tonight. King & Conqueror premieres on 12 February on M-Net at 21:00.
The eight-episode series, created by Michael Robert Johnson, brings one of history’s most decisive battles to life.
What is King & Conqueror about?
When King Edward dies in 1066 without an heir, Harold of Wessex and William of Normandy enter a brutal power struggle for the English crown. Their rivalry led to the historic Battle of Hastings, a clash that reshaped England and influenced Europe for centuries.
King & Conqueror tells the story of ambition, loyalty, betrayal and legacy. The series stars James Norton as Harold of Wessex and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau as William of Normandy.
The supporting cast includes Emily Beecham, Clémence Poésy, Juliet Stevenson, Eddie Marsan and Jean-Marc Barr.
