The 2026 FIFA World Cup final made history with the tournament’s first-ever halftime show, featuring global superstars Madonna, Shakira, Justin Bieber and BTS at MetLife Stadium.
Curated by Coldplay’s Chris Martin, the inaugural spectacle supported the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund and included guest appearances by Burna Boy, The Muppets, Gustavo Dudamel, the PS22 Chorus and Sesame Street characters.
The 11-minute performance required a 27-minute halftime interval to accommodate stage logistics.

BTS followed with a performance of their global hit Dynamite, adapted with soccer-themed lyrics for the FIFA World Cup final.
Justin Bieber performs acoustic set
Justin Bieber was introduced by Ted Lasso characters Jason Sudeikis and Brendan Hunt before performing an acoustic version of Everything Hallelujah.
Shakira and Burna Boy perform official tournament anthem
Shakira and Burna Boy increased the energy with a performance of Dai Dai, the official anthem of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Coldplay closes the show
Coldplay, alongside the PS22 Chorus, The Muppets and Sesame Street characters, brought the historic halftime show to a close with the debut of a new song.
The performance marked the first FIFA World Cup final halftime show, bringing together music, entertainment and football on one of the sport’s biggest stages.
