Disney+ Reveals First Look Images from The Testaments

Disney+ has released the first look at its highly anticipated drama series The Testaments, featuring Ann Dowd, Chase Infiniti, Lucy Halliday, Rowan Blanchard, Mattea Conforti, Isolde Ardies, Shechinah Mpumlwana and Birva Pandya.

The series premieres in April 2026 on Hulu in the United States and on Disney+ internationally.

A New Chapter in the World of Gilead

Based on Margaret Atwood’s Booker Prize-winning novel, The Testaments is set years after the events of The Handmaid’s Tale. The story shifts to a new generation of young women raised entirely within the oppressive theocracy of Gilead.

For them, this world is all they have ever known. With no memory of life before indoctrination, they face futures shaped by forced marriage and lifelong servitude.

As they confront the reality awaiting them, these young women must look for allies, both familiar and unexpected, to fight for freedom and a different life.

The ensemble cast includes Ann Dowd, Chase Infiniti, Lucy Halliday, Mabel Li, Amy Seimetz, Brad Alexander, Rowan Blanchard, Mattea Conforti, Zarrin Darnell-Martin, Eva Foote, Isolde Ardies, Shechinah Mpumlwana, Birva Pandya and Kira Guloien.

Creative Team Behind the Series

Developed for television by showrunner and executive producer Bruce Miller, the series builds on the world established in The Handmaid’s Tale.

Executive producers include Warren Littlefield, Elisabeth Moss, Steve Stark, Shana Stein, Maya Goldsmith, John Weber, Sheila Hockin, Daniel Wilson, Fran Sears and Mike Barker, who will direct the first three episodes.
