A long-standing connection with South Africa
This marks Scott’s fourth visit to South Africa. She previously performed in Johannesburg in 2013 and 2024, and in Durban in 2017.
After her 2024 performance in Kyalami, Scott shared her appreciation for local fans on Instagram.
“I will always come back. When you sing back, Joburg, it’s so beautiful and overwhelmingly wonderful. Thank you Joburg for loving me the way you do. My heart soars.”
Global tour spans multiple continents
The monumental 36-date international tour will travel across the United States, Europe, the United Kingdom and South Africa.
The tour begins in Nashville before heading to major cities including Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, Atlanta, Oakland, Washington D.C. and Scott’s hometown of Philadelphia. International performances across the UK and Europe follow before the tour concludes in South Africa with the Cape Town show as the final stop.
A tour centred on live musicianship
Rooted in live musicianship, storytelling and Scott’s signature soulful voice, the To Whom This May Concern Tour will feature residency-style performances designed to create deeper connections between the artist and her audience.
Each show places live band instrumentation at the centre of the performance, creating an immersive concert experience.
“Creating unique experiences for people in every city is incredibly important to me,” Scott said.
“Music is a conversation, and the stage is where we come together to share truth, joy, and the beauty of being alive.”
Promoter Tony Feldman from Showtime Management said bringing the artist back to South Africa is a privilege.
“It’s such a privilege to be able to bring Jill Scott back to South Africa. She is so loved, and such a phenomenal performer, who connects deeply with her audiences.”
Greg Maloka of GRIZA Enterprises added that the new tour aligns with the release of Scott’s latest album.
“Hosting Jill Scott in South Africa this year, as she releases her most anticipated record to date, is a rare privilege. Jill’s music resonates with a universal life stage shared by women and men worldwide, including South Africa.”
