Centurion Hotel named Hotel of the Year at Tshwane Tourism Awards

The Centurion Hotel has been named Hotel of the Year at the Tshwane Tourism Association’s Tshwane Tourism Awards.

Held on Saturday, 22 August 2026, the awards celebrate excellence within the city’s tourism and hospitality sector, recognising businesses and individuals contributing to the growth and development of Tshwane as a destination.

Established by Legacy Hotels & Resorts in 1991, the Centurion Hotel serves both business and leisure travellers visiting Tshwane.

The award recognises the hotel’s contribution to the city’s hospitality sector and the team behind its guest experience.

Centurion Hotel celebrates Tshwane tourism award

A convenient base between Johannesburg and Pretoria

The Centurion Hotel is located in the heart of Centurion, midway between Johannesburg and Pretoria, with direct access to the N1 highway.

It is 500 metres from the Gautrain Station, providing connections to OR Tambo International Airport, and 900 metres from SuperSport Park.

Guests also have direct access from the hotel grounds to Centurion Mall, with shopping, restaurants and entertainment nearby.

Its proximity to SuperSport Park has helped shape the hotel’s sporting identity.

The perimeter wall features a large graffiti mural celebrating leading South African athletes, while sports art and memorabilia appear throughout the hotel.

The Centurion Hotel offers rooms overlooking either the pool deck or SuperSport Park Cricket Stadium.

Amenities include high-speed Wi-Fi, workstations, air-conditioning and tea and coffee facilities.

Italian inspiration at Brunos Restaurant

Brunos Restaurant sits at the centre of the hotel’s dining offering and has recently introduced refined Italian-inspired elements to its menu.

The restaurant is named after Bruno Corte, one of the founders of Legacy Hotels & Resorts, and pays tribute to his Italian roots.

Beyond dining, guests have access to an outdoor pool, pool deck and on-site gym.

A newly designed lounge also provides space for remote working, with work pods, charging stations and high-speed Wi-Fi.
