Residents are being urged to report emergencies and use caution while travelling as severe weather warnings remain active.

Driving licence testing centres affected
The storm has also disrupted operations at several Driving Licence Testing Centres (DLTCs) across Cape Town.

Traffic Services spokesperson Kevin Jacobs confirmed that a combination of severe weather and network issues has impacted:
- Goodwood
- Somerset West
- Atlantis
- Durbanville
- Brackenfell
- Kuilsriver
- Lingelethu West
- Joe Gqabi
- Milnerton
- Hillstar
Residents are being asked to postpone visits to affected centres where possible.
Driving tests postponed at some centres
Driving tests have also been deferred at:
- Elsies River
- Fish Hoek
after strong winds and flooding affected testing tracks.
Earlier, tests at Gallows Hill were delayed after a tree reportedly fell inside the testing yard.
Candidates affected by cancellations or delays will reportedly be contacted directly by individual testing centres regarding rescheduling.
Flooded roads and dangerous conditions continue
Traffic officials have warned motorists to remain extremely cautious as localised flooding continues impacting roads across the city.
Drivers are being urged to:
- reduce speed
- keep headlights on
- avoid flooded roads
- increase following distances
- use navigation apps to monitor delays and closures
Officials also warned about the risk of aquaplaning during heavy rain.
