And Just Like That… Season 3: The Final Chapter of Carrie Bradshaw’s Story

895

From the culture-defining Sex and the City series, through two feature films and the prequel The Carrie Diaries, the curtain is finally closing on Carrie Bradshaw’s world.

The third and final season of And Just Like That… premieres on 18 September at 9pm on M-Net, marking the end of a 27-year journey that has shaped conversations about love, friendship, and identity for generations.

What to Expect in Season 3

Now in their 50s, Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker), Miranda (Cynthia Nixon), and Charlotte (Kristin Davis) face a new chapter of complicated realities:

  • Carrie and Aiden (John Corbett): navigating the hurdles of a long-distance relationship.
  • Miranda: embracing her sexuality while exploring the chaotic world of tech-driven over-50s dating.
  • Charlotte: juggling life as a mother of two strong-willed Gen-Z teens.

Supporting characters Seema (Sarita Choudhury) and Lisa Todd Wexley (Nicole Ari Parker) are also drawn into their own personal trials and triumphs — with plenty of unexpected twists.

Critics Are Calling It the Show’s Best Season Yet

According to The Guardian’s Rebecca Nicholson, the spin-off has finally “found its skin” in season three, abandoning the awkwardness of trying to modernise its characters and instead embracing them as “absurdly rich New Yorkers in their 50s” dealing with universal challenges of love, family, and friendship.

In Harper’s Bazaar, Louis Staples highlights how the dialogue is now sharper and more confident: “Season 3 is the moment where And Just Like That… finally found its stride.”

A Bittersweet Goodbye

While the show has drawn both adoration and critique since its debut, fans agree that it has carried the Sex and the City legacy into a new era of storytelling. Season 3 promises laughs, tears, and the same unforgettable chemistry that first captivated audiences in 1998.

Catch the final season of And Just Like That… on M-Net, DStv Stream, and DStv Catch Up from 18 September at 9pm. Follow the conversation on Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook.
