Supercar Rhino Run Heads to Kyalami for Biggest Charity Event Yet

528

More than 150 of South Africa’s most extraordinary performance vehicles will gather at Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit on 19 July 2026 for the Supercar Rhino Run.

The event brings together automotive excellence and rhino conservation, giving motoring fans and families a high-energy day out while supporting orphaned rhino calves.

Visitors can expect Gymkhana demonstrations, burnout displays, live entertainment, food and beverage offerings, charity activations and family-friendly attractions throughout the day.

A supercar event with a purpose

Now in its fifth year, the Supercar Rhino Run has grown into one of South Africa’s leading automotive charity initiatives.

What started as a modest convoy of 30 supercars that raised enough milk to feed 40 orphaned rhino calves for a month has become a nationwide movement.

In 2024, the event exceeded R100,000 in cash donations for the second consecutive year, further cementing its impact.

The 2026 edition marks the event’s biggest milestone yet, as participants, spectators, corporate partners and conservation supporters come together at the legendary Kyalami circuit for the first time.

Supporting Rhino Connect

All proceeds generated through vehicle registration fees, monetary donations and contributions of fat-free long-life milk will benefit Rhino Connect NPO, founded by Tersia Jooste.

“Every car on that grid represents a choice to use what you love for something that matters. Kyalami is a statement. We are raising the bar in 2026 — for the run, for our sponsors, and most importantly for the rhinos,” Jooste says.

Rhino Connect is dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating and protecting rhino calves orphaned by poaching.

The organisation provides emergency veterinary care and long-term rehabilitation before the calves can be returned to the wild.

Each calf in rehabilitation requires up to 20 litres of fat-free long-life milk every day.

What spectators can expect

Spectators are encouraged to attend the event at Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit and support the cause.

The day will include pit walk access, charity activations, Gymkhana demonstrations, live entertainment, food, drinks and family-friendly activities.

Guests are also encouraged to bring donations of fat-free long-life milk to the gate to support Rhino Connect’s conservation work.

Supercar owners who want to join the convoy can apply to participate, with all vehicles subject to committee approval.
