Soweto Fashion Week 2026 returns with a bold Autumn/Winter showcase

Soweto Fashion Week is back for its Autumn/Winter 2026 season, bringing four days of fashion, creativity and local talent to Soweto Theatre.

The biannual showcase will run from 28 April to 1 May 2026, continuing its role as a key platform for South African designers.

A platform built for local talent

Founded in 2011 by Stephen Manzini, Soweto Fashion Week was created to support designers from township communities.

Over the years, it has grown into one of the country’s most recognised fashion events, attracting both emerging and established designers from across South Africa.

What to expect this season

The 2026 programme blends new talent with established names.

Opening night will once again feature the emerging designers’ showcase, a core part of the event that gives rising creatives a platform to present their collections.
