ITHUBA is searching for the lucky participant who won more than R100 million in the latest LOTTO jackpot draw.

The winning jackpot from draw number 2643, held on Wednesday, 6 May 2026, amounts to a massive R100,644,721.10.

According to an official statement from ITHUBA, the winning ticket was purchased at:

  • Checkers Hyper Sandton City
  • using the Quick Pick selection method

Lottery officials are now urging players who bought tickets in the area to check their slips carefully.

Third-biggest Lotto jackpot of 2026

The prize is reportedly the third-highest National Lottery jackpot won so far in 2026.

“We are excited to welcome our newest multi-millionaire and encourage every participant to check their tickets,” said Charmaine Mabuza.

“We look forward to supporting them through this life-changing journey.”

How to check your Lotto ticket

National Lottery players can verify the winning numbers:

  • in participating stores nationwide
  • on National Lottery social media platforms
  • through online news platforms
  • via the National Lottery website

The winner has 365 days from the draw date to claim the prize.

What the winner needs to claim the money

According to ITHUBA, the winner must provide:

  • the original winning ticket
  • a valid identity document
  • proof of residence
  • banking details

The winnings are paid tax-free within 72 hours once the claim is validated.

Free financial advice and counselling offered

ITHUBA also confirmed that winners of more than R50,000 receive:

  • complimentary trauma counselling
  • financial advice
  • support services to help manage winnings responsibly

The operator reminded South Africans that players must be 18 years or older to participate.
