Extra Shows Added for The Nutcracker at Montecasino Due to High Demand

Overwhelming response leads to six additional shows

In an exciting turn of events for theatre lovers, Cape Ballet Africa has announced six additional performances of the enchanting production of The Nutcracker at Montecasino’s Teatro. Originally set to premiere on 4 December, the demand for tickets has been so high that audiences can now enjoy this festive classic until 20 December 2025.

The added shows will take place on the public holiday, Tuesday 16 December, with two performances at 1pm and 5:30pm. Furthermore, an afternoon matinee is scheduled for Thursday 18 December at 3pm, and two shows on Saturday 20 December—another matinee at 3pm followed by an evening performance at 7:30pm. Presented by Global Star Events in collaboration with Cape Ballet Africa, this production promises a captivating experience, bringing together South Africa’s top ballet talent and renowned international guest artists.
