South African content creator Nadia Jaftha has shared the heartbreaking news of her grandfather’s passing, leaving fans deeply moved.

Affectionately known as “Pa,” Solly Jaftha became a familiar and much-loved presence in Nadia’s content. His warmth, humour and natural charm resonated with audiences, making him a standout figure in the moments she shared online.

A deeply personal loss

Taking to Instagram, Nadia posted a series of memories and heartfelt moments with her grandfather, reflecting on their close bond.

“I’m going to miss you so so much Pa,” she wrote.

Messages of support quickly followed. Kelly Kix, Zuraida Jardine and Mishka Loesch were among those who shared condolences and support.

A bittersweet chapter

The loss comes during what was meant to be a celebratory period in Nadia’s life. In late 2025, she announced her engagement to her partner Reece Meyer following a proposal in Bali.

What should have been a time of pure excitement now carries a sense of quiet sadness, as she steps into a new chapter without her grandfather by her side.

From her reflections, it is clear that he would have played a central role in her future milestones.

A memory that lingers

In one of the most moving moments shared, her grandfather spoke about his wish to witness her future.

“Before I go into my second life, I want to fulfil one dream. I want to see you married and have kids. I want to know your kids. This would be the best present you can give me… and once I’ve seen your children, then I can die peacefully.”

The words now carry deeper meaning, offering a glimpse into the bond they shared and the legacy he leaves behind.

As Nadia and her loved ones navigate this loss, her Pa’s presence continues through the memories and moments that touched so many.
