MSC Cruises opens bookings for 2028 Alaska season

219

MSC Cruises has opened bookings for its 2028 Alaska summer season, offering weekly seven-night voyages aboard MSC Poesia.

The round-trip sailings from Seattle will run from 24 April to 18 September 2028.

Passengers will travel through the Inside Passage and visit destinations in Alaska and British Columbia.

Which ports will MSC Poesia visit?

The seven-night itinerary includes calls at:

  • Ketchikan, Alaska
  • Icy Strait Point, Alaska
  • Tracy Arm, Alaska
  • Juneau, Alaska
  • Victoria, British Columbia

The voyage takes passengers through the Inside Passage, a 500-mile network of waterways formed by glaciers millions of years ago.

Passengers will have views of fjords, the Tongass National Forest and more than 1,000 islands from the ship. Planned excursions will provide further opportunities to explore the region.

Excursions and wildlife experiences

In Juneau, passengers can book an excursion to Mendenhall Glacier, where the surrounding area includes waterfalls, ice caves and salmon-filled creeks.

Whale-watching excursions offer opportunities to see humpback whales.

Alaska is also known for its five large land animals: moose, bears, Dall sheep, caribou and wolves.

Alaska Native culture and Gold Rush history

The Alaska cruise experience extends beyond the region’s scenery and wildlife.

The Inside Passage is home to Alaska Native peoples. Visitors can learn more about their history through features such as the totem poles found in Ketchikan.

The region also provides opportunities to explore stories linked to the Gold Rush.

MSC Yacht Club added to MSC Poesia

MSC Poesia will feature a new MSC Yacht Club for its Alaska sailings.

The private area will include 69 suites, 24-hour butler service, a private lounge and an exclusive sundeck.

Onboard dining options will include the Butcher’s Cut steakhouse and Kaito Sushi Bar.

The ship will also feature an upgraded MSC Aurea Spa and MSC Gym Powered by Technogym.

Bookings are open for weekly departures between 24 April and 18 September 2028.
