From 2–4 September 2025, the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC) will host WHX Cape Town and WHX Labs Cape Town, Africa’s leading healthcare and laboratory sciences event.
With more than 8,000 attendees, 600 exhibitors, and speakers from over 60 countries, this year’s theme Healthcare Without Borders: African Insights, Global Impact sets the stage for African-led innovations to shape global health systems.
A Three-Day Programme of Innovation and Collaboration
Delegates can expect 13 specialised conferences, including the Global Health Indaba, Infection Control, Nursing Management, Emergency Medicine, and Oncology Imaging. WHX Labs Cape Town will run in parallel, highlighting breakthroughs in diagnostics, AI, multi-omics, and innovation.
Industry leaders such as Prof Salome Maswime (UCT), Prof Feroza Motara (Emergency Medicine Society of SA), Dr Paul Rischbieter (RSSA), and Prof Rivak Punchoo (NHLS/UCT) will lead critical discussions on prevention, precision medicine, quality of care, and data-driven decision-making.
A Critical Moment for African Healthcare
Amid workforce shortages, underfunded systems, and structural inequities, Africa is also producing homegrown, scalable solutions. WHX Cape Town provides a platform to showcase these, from AI-driven diagnostics to integrated, person-centred care models.
“Health is multidisciplinary in its nature and cuts across all sectors,” says Prof Maswime. “We need more cross-sector collaborations to strengthen health systems across Africa.”
Industry Support & Partnerships
Global players including Siemens Healthineers, Baxter, Standard Bank, Roche, Draeger, Snibe, Tosoh Bioscience, Solventum, Fujifilm, Amazon, Beckman, and Radiometer will showcase innovations, alongside endorsements from NHLS, ASLM, SMLTSA, SALDA, ICAN, and COHSASA.
On the show floor, attendees can explore live product launches, partnership forums, hosted buyer zones, and 13+ country pavilions. CPD-accredited sessions (3–6 credits each) will strengthen professional development across all 13 tracks.
Africa’s Platform, the World’s Stage
WHX Cape Town 2025 reaffirms Africa’s role in shaping the global health agenda. From precision diagnostics to sustainable infection control, the event demonstrates how African insights are not just local solutions — but global answers.
