Johannesburg’s signature winter lifestyle event is set to return in style as the Cap Classique, Champagne and Bubbles Festival heads back to Inanda Polo Club on 30 and 31 May.

In partnership with J.C. Le Roux, the two-day festival brings together premium local and international sparkling wines in a setting built around elegance, fashion and food.

A curated tasting experience

The event runs from 11:00 to 14:30, offering a structured tasting journey across more than 20 stations.

Guests can explore a range of Cap Classique producers, including:

  • Graham Beck
  • Haute Cabrière
  • Steenberg
  • Villiera Wines

International sparkling wines, including Champagne and Prosecco, will also form part of the line-up.

From tasting to lifestyle event

From mid-afternoon, the atmosphere shifts.

Live music, food and social spaces take over as the event moves into a more relaxed, high-energy setting.

Food options include:

  • wood-fired pizzas
  • gelato
  • curated gourmet offerings

The focus moves from tasting to experience, with a strong lifestyle element.

Dress code sets the tone

This year’s theme draws inspiration from the Italian Riviera.

Guests are encouraged to dress in red and white, with a focus on clean, polished styling.

  • women: flowing dresses, statement accessories, bold silhouettes
  • men: tailored looks, relaxed suiting, minimal styling

Best dressed attendees stand a chance to win prizes, including premium bottles and curated gift sets.

Premium lounge experience

For those looking for a more exclusive setting, the Bubbly Lounge offers a limited-access experience.

Only 300 tickets are available per day.

The upgrade includes:

  • private access and seating
  • dedicated host service
  • welcome glass of bubbly
  • 20 tasting coupons
  • private facilities

General access details

General admission includes:

  • a branded crystal flute
  • 10 tasting coupons

This provides access to all tasting stations and the broader event experience.

Why this event stands out

It has become a key fixture on Johannesburg’s winter calendar, offering a polished but accessible experience.
