Heart FM has announced a major refresh of its on-air schedule for 2026, with radio personalities Aden Thomas and Suga set to host the station’s new flagship Breakfast show.

The updated line-up launches in July 2026 and brings together two of Cape Town’s most recognisable radio voices on the same morning programme for the first time.

The station said the move forms part of its strategy to evolve its programming while continuing to serve its growing audience across the Western Cape.

Aden Thomas and Suga join forces on Breakfast

The new Breakfast show will air weekdays from 6am to 9am and will feature a mix of entertainment, conversation, news, sport and traffic updates.

The pairing marks a notable moment for Cape Town radio, bringing together two established drive-time presenters to lead the station’s morning offering.

Heart FM Managing Director Renee Redelinghuys said the changes reflect the station’s commitment to its listeners.

“This refreshed line-up reflects our commitment to evolving for our listeners and remaining the soundtrack to Cape Town’s day,” said Redelinghuys.

“The pairing of Aden and Suga on Breakfast is going to be something genuinely special – two of the most celebrated voices in Cape Town radio, together, redefining what a morning show can be.”

Opportunities for new talent

Heart FM’s Head of Programming, Vernon Nel, said the schedule refresh creates opportunities for presenters to grow into new roles.

“What excites me most is the chemistry we’re going to hear from Aden and Suga,” said Nel.

“It’s the kind of partnership that doesn’t come around often, and Cape Town is going to feel it from the very first show. The rest of the schedule gives some of our brightest talents room to grow into slots where they will truly shine.”
