After years of anticipation, Grand Theft Auto VI pre-orders are finally set to go live.

Rockstar Games has confirmed that pre-orders for GTA 6 will officially open on 25 June, giving fans their first opportunity to secure a copy of one of the most anticipated video games ever released.

Players can add the game to their wishlist on the PlayStation Store and Microsoft Store to receive notifications when pre-orders become available.

How Much Will GTA 6 Cost in South Africa?

Official pricing has been announced in US dollars, with local pricing expected to fluctuate based on exchange rates and retailer mark-ups.

Current estimates suggest South African gamers can expect to pay:

  • Standard Edition: $79.99 (approximately R1,450 to R1,600)
  • Ultimate Edition: $99.99 (approximately R1,800 to R2,000)

The Ultimate Edition will include exclusive in-game apparel, weapons and vehicles.

Local pricing may vary between digital storefronts and retailers.

GTA 6 Release Date Confirmed

Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled to launch on 19 November 2026 for:

  • PlayStation 5
  • Xbox Series X|S

No other platforms have been announced.

Digital Pre-Order Bonuses
