Eligible FNB Private Clients can now earn up to R600 in eBucks a month when shopping at Woolworths, but there is an important catch: you need to pay with a qualifying FNB Virtual Card.
The new rewards partnership took effect on 1 October 2026, allowing qualifying customers to earn eBucks across Woolworths purchases.
For FNB Private Clients, the amount earned depends on two things: how much you spend at Woolworths during the month and your eBucks Reward Level.
Spend R4,000 or more in a month and customers on Reward Level 5 can earn eB6,000, worth R600.
How the new FNB and Woolworths eBucks benefit works
Qualifying Woolworths purchases are combined across the month.
Your reward is then determined by the highest qualifying spending threshold you reached and your eBucks Reward Level.
There are three monthly spending thresholds: R1,000, R2,500 and R4,000.
Only qualifying payments made using an FNB Virtual Card count towards the benefit.
That means paying with a physical card will not qualify for the Woolworths eBucks reward.
How much can FNB Private Clients earn at Woolworths?
Here’s how the monthly rewards work:
| Monthly Woolworths spend | Level 1 | Level 2 | Level 3 | Level 4 | Level 5 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| R1,000 | R10 | R15 | R20 | R40 | R60 |
| R2,500 | R30 | R40 | R55 | R110 | R175 |
| R4,000 | R90 | R110 | R165 | R350 | R600 |
The maximum reward for an eligible FNB Private Clients customer under this benefit is therefore eB6,000, or R600, in a month.
To earn the maximum, you need to spend at least R4,000 in qualifying Woolworths purchases during the month and be on eBucks Reward Level 5.
Which Woolworths purchases qualify?
The benefit covers qualifying purchases across Woolworths physical stores, Food, Online and Dash.
Eligible spending can include purchases across Woolworths’ food, fashion, beauty and home departments.
Qualifying purchases across the different channels are combined to determine which monthly spending threshold you reach.
Your eBucks Reward Level makes a big difference
Simply spending R4,000 at Woolworths does not automatically mean you’ll receive R600 back.
At the R4,000 threshold, for example, the reward ranges from R90 on Level 1 to R600 on Level 5.
The same applies at the lower spending thresholds.
A Level 1 customer who reaches R1,000 in qualifying spend earns R10, while a Level 5 customer reaching the same threshold earns R60.
Don’t forget to use your Virtual Card
Perhaps the most important condition is the payment method.
Customers must use a qualifying FNB Virtual Card for purchases to count towards the Woolworths reward.
Physical card payments do not earn the benefit.
The Woolworths partnership replaces the previous Spar rewards benefit for private clients and forms part of the eBucks offering available to FNB Private and RMB Private Bank clients.
For eligible FNB Private Clients, the key is straightforward: use the correct Virtual Card, keep track of your combined qualifying Woolworths spending for the month and remember that your final reward depends on your eBucks Reward Level.
