South Africa’s leading low-cost airline has earned five major awards at the 2025 SACAA Civil Aviation Industry Awards. This includes Best Airline by Public Vote, a strong sign of national trust and traveller loyalty.

A standout year for FlySafair

Johannesburg, South Africa – 26 November 2025 – The SACAA Civil Aviation Industry Awards honour excellence in safety, innovation, service and transformation. An independent judging panel selects winners. FlySafair earned top honours in five categories and secured strong placements in six more, reinforcing its position as a high-performing, customer-focused airline.

The Best Airline by Public Vote award holds special meaning. It reflects the trust South Africans place in FlySafair for reliable, affordable travel.

Recognition built on consistency

A history of excellence

FlySafair’s 2025 success continues a strong tradition. The airline has received recognition at every SACAA Civil Aviation Industry Awards ceremony since its launch in 2018. In 2023, FlySafair secured five first-place wins, including Air Operator of the Year and Best Airline by Public Vote, along with eight additional placements across various categories.

“These awards recognise that we are building a sustainable, world-class airline that South Africans can be proud of,” Gordon says. “We owe it to our dedicated team and loyal customers.”
