FIFA World Cup 2026: Teams Through to the Round of 32 So Far

The race for the FIFA World Cup Round of 32 is heating up, with several nations already securing their places in the knockout stages as the group phase reaches its conclusion.

So far, 11 teams have officially booked their spots in the next round.

• Colombia (Group K winners)
• France (Group I)

How the Knockout Stage Works

The expanded 48-team FIFA World Cup sees the top two teams from each of the 12 groups qualify automatically for the Round of 32.

They are joined by the eight best third-placed teams, creating a 32-team knockout bracket for the first time in tournament history.

With Groups A, B and C now completed, their automatic qualifiers have been confirmed, while the remaining groups continue battling for the final knockout places.

• Panama

More teams will confirm their places in the Round of 32 as the remaining group-stage fixtures are completed.
