If you’ve been stuck in the endless loop of Bluey and kiddie shows, Disney+ has just dropped your new guilty pleasure. Chad Powers brings together the swagger of an underdog sports drama with the hilarity of an identity swap.
And leading the chaos? The effortlessly charming Glen Powell (Top Gun: Maverick).
So, What’s the Story?
Powell plays Russ Holliday, a former college football golden boy whose career was derailed by a bad decision nearly a decade ago.
Determined to claw his way back, Russ reinvents himself as Chad Powers—a long-haired, moustached walk-on with questionable skills but undeniable swagger.
Joining the struggling South Georgia Catfish, Chad’s arrival turns the team upside down, blending sports grit with laugh-out-loud comedy.
Meet the Cast
Alongside Powell’s double-duty performance as Russ/Chad, the cast includes:
- Perry Mattfeld as Ricky
- Quentin Plair as Coach Byrd
- Wynn Everett as Tricia Yeager
- Frankie A. Rodriguez as Danny
- Steve Zahn as Coach Jake Hudson
Adding to the star power, Eli Manning and Peyton Manning are executive producers, bringing plenty of authentic football flavour (and insider jokes) to the mix.
Release Date & Episodes
The first two episodes drop on Tuesday, 30 September 2025, exclusively on Disney+, with new episodes following every Tuesday. Perfect timing for when the kids are in bed and you’ve poured that cheeky glass of wine.
Is It Family-Friendly?
