A night of wonder and glamour
Picture stepping into a mystical, dreamlike scene where time seems to stand still.
The Déjà vu feeling overwhelms you as we walk into the long-awaited doors of Countess Zingara, situated at Century City. Has it really been ten years, you ask yourself as it all feels so familiar.
The magical evening is upon us. Exhale, the wait is over. The countess has arrived. The scenery feels like a movie and we are all the all-stars in the show. Sheer royalty… You can feel the anticipation and excitement. The décor, the vibrant colours, all contribute to the out-of-this-world setting.
The dress code is not limited, so guest used their creativity, from smart casual to extravagant costumes. The pop-up store on site makes it easy to help you “add some Zingara zing” to your outfit.

Bumping into old friends whilst making new ones is phenomenal. You could hear a pin drop once the carefully curated performers begin their acts. Each one is done with so much perfection, and at times, you forget to breathe as you watch the performers entertaining us with acts that you should definitely not try at home. How do they do that? This is what everyone is whispering.
The waiters added extra entertainment to the evening whilst serving the food, gliding and dancing to the beats of the high-quality performers. It truly is a feast fit for kings and queens. And countesses, of course!
What began as grief in the first act ended in standing ovations and applause, with joy, satisfaction, and sheer bliss written across every face.
This exciting new chapter has come alive once again, by well-known South African theatre visionary Craig Leo, alongside Richard Griffin, Valentina Leo, and a brilliant team of creatives, dreamers, and expert artists. Waiting a decade for the countess was truly worth the wait.
