The world’s sexiest musical is back — bolder, sassier, and with an all-South African cast guaranteed to razzle-dazzle. CHICAGO The Musical returns to South Africa with a run at Artscape Opera House, Cape Town (27 August – 28 September 2025) before moving to Montecasino’s Teatro, Johannesburg (3 October – 9 November 2025).

They’ll be joined by an ensemble of 23 cast members, a live 11-piece orchestra led by award-winning musical director Kevin Kraak, and an international creative team including Tânia Nardini and Gary Chryst, with technical direction by Alistair Kilbee (Gearhouse Splitbeam).

The Allure of CHICAGO

Set in the roaring 1920s, CHICAGO tells the story of a nightclub singer, a double murderess, and a smooth-talking lawyer navigating ambition, fame, and scandal. Expect iconic showstoppers like All That Jazz, Cell Block Tango and Razzle Dazzle, all delivered with sultry choreography and biting wit.
