Amazon South Africa has officially launched its Made for Summer storefront, offering South Africans everything they need to make the most of the sunny season. The new online destination features up to 30% off a wide variety of summer essentials, including kitchen appliances, braai equipment, outdoor living products, and sporting gear — all available on Amazon.co.za.

A Summer Celebration in the Heart of Cape Town

To launch the storefront, Amazon hosted an exclusive Amazon Summer Session at Glen Villa, located at the foot of Table Mountain. The event celebrated South African summer culture with a live cooking showcase by celebrity chef duo Coco and J’Something. Guests were treated to a culinary journey that moved effortlessly from kitchen to braai, using ingredients and appliances available through Amazon’s new storefront.

J’Something reflected on his cooking journey, sharing:

“My wife was always the cook at home. We enjoyed cooking together as a couple. Later, everyone started calling me chef, and I had to wear this chef uniform. I guess it takes time to figure out who you are and who you’re not — especially online where we all influence each other.”

With humour and authenticity, the couple entertained guests while preparing quick and flavourful summer-inspired dishes.
