Chopard’s ‘Swan Lake’ Soarsinto The Grand Prix d’Horlogerie De Genève

A diamond-set swan joins the 2025 Jewellery Watch nominees.

Chopard’s 2025 entry in the Jewellery Watch category of the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG) is a creation of rare poetry: a secret watch shaped as a swan, entirely set with diamonds.

Handcrafted with exceptional savoir-faire, it unites Haute Joaillerie artistry with Fine Watchmaking expertise.

Crafted in 18-carat ethical white gold and set with more than 34 carats of diamonds, the swan glides upon a titanium base evoking seafoam, also adorned with diamonds. Its serene silhouette captures the elegance of a swan across still water.

A satin strap, trimmed with white feathers and finished with an 18-carat ethical white gold feather-shaped pin buckle, secures this extraordinary piece to the wrist.

This singular creation represents over 900 hours of research and artisanal work. From the feathered clasp to the mechanical unfurling of the wings, every element reflects the vision of Caroline Scheufele, Chopard’s Co-President and Artistic Director, and the close collaboration between designers, jewellers and master watchmakers.

The swan conceals a remarkable secret: when its head is gently turned to the centre, an internal mechanism unfolds its wings in three elegant stages, revealing a mother-of-pearl dial engraved with a feather motif.

At its heart beats Chopard’s hand-wound 10.01-C movement, offering a 45-hour power reserve within a case scarcely taller than two stacked 5-cent coins.

This creation continues Chopard’s celebrated dialogue with the GPHG. Following the Maison’s win in the Jewellery Watch category in 2024 for its Laguna secret watch, Swan Lake reaffirms its enduring commitment to imagination, mechanical ingenuity and the poetic beauty of nature.
