Capitec powers a bigger fan experience at Comic Con Cape Town 2026

672

Capitec is stepping in as a key partner for Comic Con Cape Town 2026, bringing a more seamless and rewarding experience for fans while supporting the creative communities behind the event.

The collaboration aims to improve every stage of the fan journey, from ticket purchases to navigating the show floor, making the festival more accessible and engaging.

Exclusive perks for superfans

One of the standout features of the partnership is the Capitec Super Fan Pass. Limited to just 100 passes and available only to Capitec clients, the offering adds a premium layer to the Comic Con experience.

The pass includes two event badges, VIP parking, fast-track entry and early access to the convention floor. It also offers a 50% discount on a celebrity photo opportunity and access to a dedicated Super Fan viewing zone.

Capitec clients can also benefit from a 20% discount on standard Comic Con tickets, along with exclusive partner deals and savings at selected vendors across the event. Limited-edition Capitec merchandise will also be available.

Enhancing the experience on the ground

Beyond ticketing benefits, Capitec is introducing an interactive activation on the convention floor, designed to add a new layer of engagement for attendees.

The focus is on creating a smoother, more rewarding experience while maintaining the high-energy atmosphere that defines Comic Con Cape Town.

Supporting small businesses and creators

The partnership also places strong emphasis on entrepreneurship. Independent artists, crafters and small businesses form a core part of Comic Con’s ecosystem, and Capitec is working to support their growth.

Exhibitors linked to Capitec will receive reduced rates and access to business tools and support during the event. This aligns with the festival’s focus on creativity, innovation and independent talent.

Comic Con Cape Town Show Director Carla Massmann highlighted the impact of the partnership, noting that it strengthens both the fan experience and the opportunities available to creators.

A shared vision for community and culture

For Capitec, the partnership reflects a broader commitment to community-driven experiences.

According to Asha Patel, Comic Con represents a space where people connect through shared interests such as gaming, storytelling, art and cosplay.

The goal is to make the event more accessible and valuable for both attendees and the creators who bring it to life.

Save the date

Comic Con Cape Town 2026 will take place from 30 April to 3 May at the CTICC 2, with around 36,000 fans expected to attend.

With enhanced benefits, exclusive access and stronger support for creators, this year’s event is set to deliver a more connected and rewarding experience for everyone involved.
