Heart FM’s annual 16 Days for Youth campaign returns with heartfelt purpose and growing support, ready to uplift communities across the Western Cape. This year, the campaign is strengthened by key partnerships with FoodForward SAMy JiVE, My Hood, and The Community Chest of the Western Cape, ensuring real, lasting change reaches the children and youth who need it most.

For 16 consecutive days, Heart FM will travel through Cape Town and beyond—connecting with under-resourced, youth-focused organisations and amplifying the voices of those working tirelessly to change lives. This is a campaign of action, empathy, and solidarity—supporting those who often operate out of the spotlight but are shaping the future of our communities.

Key Partnerships Making a Real Difference

  • FoodForward SA is ensuring that every child at each visited organisation receives a nutritious meal, providing immediate relief and dignity to children who face daily food insecurity.
  • My JiVE, My Hood is offering flexible, on-the-ground assistance—responding directly to each organisation’s needs, whether it’s infrastructure, supplies, or support services.
    • As part of the My JiVE, My Hood campaign, the following organisations have been identified for support:

This campaign underscores JiVE’s unwavering commitment to our communities and the local economy, uplifting grassroots efforts while investing in long-term, community-driven development.
  • The Community Chest of the Western Cape brings community development expertise, resources, and connectivity, helping to build capacity and sustainability within each initiative the campaign touches.

Heart FM is proud to walk alongside these impactful organisations:

16 Days for Youth is more than a campaign—it’s a heartfelt journey into the soul of our communities,” says Renee Redelinghuys, Managing Director at Heart FM. “We honour those who serve quietly and tirelessly. With the support of our partners, we’re not only telling their stories—we’re helping shape their futures. With the support of our amazing partners—FoodForward SA, My JiVE, My Hood, and The Community Chest of the Western Cape—we’re able to walk beside these organisations and bring attention and resources where they are most needed.

Heart FM calls on listeners, communities, and businesses to take part—whether by volunteering, donating, or simply sharing the stories of these incredible change-makers.

Together, we can nourish, uplift, and empower the youth who will build the future of our nation.
