Big Brother Mzansi Bazozwa: Ramona, Tumi the Barber Evicted

8.5k

This Sunday, 22 February, Ramona and Tumi the Barber became the latest housemates to be evicted from the Big Brother Mzansi Bazozwa house.

The pair became the eleventh and twelfth contestants to exit Season 6, following another high-intensity week of shifting alliances, strategic gameplay and tight leadership under Head of House King Wanda.

Sunday Live Eviction Show

The live eviction show kicked off with a twist. Big Sister called on Smash Afrika and sent him on a secret mission to evict a housemate without delay.

Smash entered the house and immediately confronted Ashay, referencing comments heard through the boombox. He questioned Liema about whether she still trusted their friendship after he called her “lazy.”

Liema responded confidently: “I already know I’m lazy… c’mon, I’m the Queen of England.”

Within the first ten minutes, Ramona was announced as the first evictee of the night. She shared that she was “really happy” to be leaving.

“I’m ready for the next part of my journey, Smash. I learnt so much, not just about myself, but the types of people that I’m going to be dealing with when the real work starts.”

Smash also addressed Thandeka over hygiene concerns that sparked debate both inside the house and across social media. He questioned her actions, including washing her face in the kitchen sink over dishes, drying her wig in the oven and steaming her face over a cooking pot.

“Is that hygienic?” he asked.

Tumi the Barber followed as the second evictee. He admitted he was shocked by the result. When asked if he was excited to see his “babe” Buhle B, he responded: “Of course!”

Viewers can catch Ramona and Tumi the Barber on Beyond Umsindo this Thursday at 19:00 as they unpack their experiences in the house.

The Week That Was: Egontshini Nostalgia

Week six carried the theme Egontshini, celebrating “the good ol’ times.” The housemates delivered a strong performance and secured a wager win with a 1980s-themed play set in Soweto.

The production featured dramatic shebeen scenes and family twists.

• Thandeka portrayed a chaotic, drunken mother
• Liema impressed as Culo the singer
• Bravo B delivered intensity as a feared thug

Biggie praised their creativity and awarded them the wager win, securing their weekly budget.

The Red Telephone Challenge Flop

Ilano faced a Zakhaa Pay-sponsored Red Telephone challenge with the chance to win money. Her mission was to convince housemates to participate in a fake health story before the tea bell rang.

The task unravelled quickly.

Onions were handed out.
R3 000 was mentioned.
Housemates sensed something was off.

The mission failed, and the prize slipped away.

Redemption Housemates Under Scrutiny

Attention shifted to the redemption housemates, Liema, Bravo B, and Mmeli. Ramona and Thandeka questioned whether Liema was repeating an old strategy.

Are they using experience to their advantage, or becoming predictable?

Experience offers emotional control and strategic awareness. But in the Bazozwa house, familiarity can either strengthen your position or expose your next move.

Meanwhile, Ashay, King Wanda and The Don were heard discussing life after the finale, brand deals and outside opportunities. The house energy is shifting. The future is creeping into present gameplay.

What’s Next in Week 7

The competition continues.

• Head of House challenge airs Monday at 18:00
• Nominations follow at 20:00

Week 7 promises fresh leadership, new alliances and higher stakes as the road to the finale tightens.
