Moët & Chandon Colours the Festive Season in Red

82

Moët & Chandon has launched a celebration of love, connection and joy for the 2025 festive season. This year, the Maison introduces its first-ever Festive Pop-Up at Hyde Park Corner in Johannesburg, unveiled alongside two limited-edition bottles: Moët & Chandon Brut Impérial in red and Moët & Chandon Rosé Impérial in pink.

The experience blends French savoir-fête with South Africa’s golden summer, creating an elegant world of celebration for all who visit.

Honouring Tradition, Embracing New Beginnings

For nearly three centuries, Moët & Chandon has shaped the global language of celebration. Each bottle carries legacy and renewal. This season, the Maison’s Friends of the House reflect on their year of milestones, challenges and personal reinvention.

Zozi Tunzi’s journey has been defined by transformation. She married the love of her life, made her acting debut in Netflix’s Bad Influencer, and quietly recorded music set for 2026. “2026 feels like the beginning of my second act,” she says.

For Maps Maponyane, celebration has been about purposeful growth. He built his dream home, expanded creative ventures, and reflected on a life shaped with intention. “I’m living a life I once only imagined,” he shares.

Actress and filmmaker Nambitha Ben-Mazwi describes her year as one of gratitude and fearless expansion. She entered European cinema, took on her first executive-producing role, and celebrated 10 years since leaving corporate life to pursue storytelling full-time.

Zulu Mkhathini views celebration as a connection. “It’s been a year of watching the people I love grow in beautiful ways,” he says. Alongside his own growth in the business and creative industries, he prepares for his return to music in 2026. He adds: “Tradition evolves. What we do today becomes the inspiration for tomorrow.”

Limited-Edition Bottles to Capture the Festive Mood

Moët & Chandon’s Holiday season release includes two exclusive bottles designed to elevate every celebration. These limited editions embody joy, warmth and the Maison’s signature art of hospitality. In Europe, red is a symbol of festive decadence, but in South Africa it takes on a lively summer energy across rooftops, gatherings and beachfront celebrations.

Step Inside the Moët & Chandon Festive Pop-Up

The Hyde Park Corner pop-up brings the brand’s iconic spirit to life. Guests are invited into a world where champagne, light and craftsmanship meet. Visitors can personalise their red limited-edition bottle, enjoy a Moët & Chandon photo moment, and take home a Polaroid keepsake.

Zozi Tunzi explains the sentiment best: “A memorable celebration feels effortless yet unforgettable. Moët & Chandon elevates these moments. It’s been present at some of my life’s most important milestones.”

Maps Maponyane adds: “I focus on the laughter in the room, the stories shared over a glass of Moët & Chandon, and the luxury of simply being with the people who matter. It’s all about intentional connection, with a side of sparkle.”

The pop-up runs from 14 November to 7 December and is set to be a highlight of Johannesburg’s festive season. It is a celebration of tradition, generosity and the shared joy that defines the Maison.
