The countdown is on as Loeries Creative Week returns to Cape Town from 5 to 10 October 2025. This internationally renowned festival brings together the best in brand communication from across Africa and the Middle East, with more entries and delegates expected than ever before.
For 47 years, the Loerie Awards have celebrated creativity and excellence in advertising and design. This year’s programme goes beyond recognition, with expos, workshops, masterclasses, and a focus on sustainability, culminating in two unforgettable awards evenings.
The Great Hunger Theme
The 2025 theme, “The Great Hunger,” reflects the industry’s drive to create truly iconic work. As Loeries CEO Preetesh Sewraj explains: “It speaks to a hunger that drives excellence and pushes boundaries in the region’s creative landscape.”
This year, the awards attracted 2,784 entries from 13 countries, judged by 194 experts across 14 subcategories and 9 craft categories. New categories — Comedic Impact, New Launch Campaign, Sonic Branding, and Marketing Impact Award — highlight the evolving scope of creative excellence.
