After a jaw-dropping reunion episode, The Real Housewives of Durban (RHOD) has officially overtaken The Mommy Club as the most-streamed reality series on Showmax this year, proving that glitz, glamour, and unfiltered drama remain a winning formula.
The hit Showmax Original is now nominated for three major honours at the upcoming Simon Mabhunu Sabela KZN Film and Television Awards, including:
- Best TV Production (Let It Rain Films)
- Best Use of KZN as a Filming Location
- Best Use of Cinematography (Lee Thomas Doig)
As Glamour put it, “Season 5 of The Real Housewives of Durban delivered all the glitz, drama, and jaw-dropping moments fans have come to expect, only this time, the tension was dialed all the way up.”
With explosive fallouts, shifting alliances, and the emotional unravelling of key relationships, most notably between Minnie and Londie, the season finale and reunion were nothing short of cinematic.
Londie Speaks Out: “I Always Carry Myself With Intention”
In an exclusive interview with Katlego Molubi, Londie London opened up about the emotional rollercoaster of Season 5, her current stance with the other Housewives, and the flood of support she’s received from fans nationwide.

How are you feeling now that the season has wrapped?
“I feel amazing. Yes, there were challenges, but the positives far outweighed the negatives. Returning to the show has been so fulfilling, and I’m truly grateful.”
What was it like watching the heated moment with Minnie again?
“It was surreal. But honestly, I’m proud of how I held my own. I didn’t let the chaos get to me. I’m a mother, a daughter, and a businesswoman, and I carry myself accordingly.”
Have you spoken to Minnie since the reunion aired?
“Not directly. She did send a text apologising privately, which doesn’t match the public statement she made. It’s disappointing to be humiliated publicly but not receive a proper public apology.”
What has this season taught you about yourself?
“That I’m stronger than I realised. Life keeps testing me, but I’ve proven to myself that I’m resilient. I won’t be shaken by outside noise.”
Would you consider returning full-time next season?
“Absolutely. I’ve loved being part of the show, it’s about more than just cameras. It’s about the real relationships I’ve built, and there’s a lot of love there.”
Message to your fans?
“I’m overwhelmed with gratitude. The love and encouragement I’ve received has been incredible. I don’t take a single message or moment for granted. Thank you.”
