Whether you love the comic books, the movies, or the TV series, Wednesday, you’re in for a theatrical treat with The Addams Family Musical. Featuring a talented cast of well-known South African actors, this spooky, wickedly-funny show is perfect for all ages. When the ‘princess of darkness’, Wednesday, falls in love with a ‘normal’ boy, Lucas, The Addams Family invites him and his parents for dinner. Mayhem, dark humour and hilarity ensue and, as Gomez says: “Living or dead, family is still family”.

So, don’t miss your chance to hang out for a couple of hours with the weirdest family in town.  The show opens on 14 Dec 2024 at the old Fugard, now called the Homecoming Centre.  Book now at Webtickets

The Addams Family Musical South African premiere is presented by MotherCity Theatre Productions, a new professional musical theatre production company in Cape Town.

They will be supported by Candice van Litsenborgh, Yahto Kraft, Chris van Rensburg, Lara Visagie, Rebecca Hartle, Jasmine Minter, Jessica de Bod, Braeden Buys, Brandon Jones, Dithabe Mbali and Jayden Dickson.  The production will be directed by Garth Tavares and choreographed by Nkosinathi Mazwai, with set, costume and lighting designs by the award-winning team of Marthinus Basson and Nicolaas de Jongh.
