Discover 10 blooming gardens at the 2025 Franschhoek Open Gardens Festival, 14–16 Nov. A spring weekend of beauty, wine, and community giving.

This November, the picturesque village of Franschhoek transforms into a living canvas of colour and creativity at the annual Franschhoek Open Gardens Festival.

Running from 14–16 November 2025, the festival invites garden lovers, green fingers, and seekers of natural beauty to explore ten unique gardens — from charming village plots to sweeping farm landscapes framed by mountain views.

Wander, Discover and Indulge

Guests can stroll at leisure from 09:00 to 16:00 daily, guided by a festival brochure with garden descriptions and a detailed map.

Gardens such as Bagatelle de la Cotte, La Cotte Farm Garden, Farm Lorraine, Koko House, Villa Blanca, and The Cow Shed are among the highlights, each space nurtured and proudly shared by its custodians.

Between blooms, visitors can enjoy tea and homemade scones, sip local Cap Classiques and wines, browse plant sales, and shop locally crafted goods inspired by the Cape’s native flora.

Talks, Insights and Inspiration

This year’s programme also includes talks hosted in selected gardens, where passionate growers, designers, and horticulturalists share practical tips and stories to inspire festivalgoers.

Giving Back to the Community

Beyond the blossoms, the event supports two vital causes:

  • Fleur de Lis Home for the Aged
  • Franschhoek Emergency Services

All proceeds go directly to these organisations, ensuring that every ticket purchased contributes to meaningful community impact.
