PNA Funky Socks Day 2025 Raises R2 Million

482

Breadline Africa celebrates the success of PNA Funky Socks Day 2025, which raised R2 million in support of four vital charities. These include Breadline Africa, CHOC Childhood Cancer Foundation SA, Rally to Read and Matla a Bana.

A celebration of colour and compassion

PNA Funky Socks Day united customers, schools and businesses across South Africa and Namibia. On 12 September 2025, participants wore their funkiest socks and R10 stickers while sharing their spirit online with #RockYourFunkySocks and #PNAFunkySocksDay.

Through thousands of supporters, the 2025 campaign raised:

• 50 educational packs for under-resourced schools through Breadline Africa.
• Digital learning support for young cancer patients via CHOC’s iPad Learning Programme.
• Teacher training and literacy resources through Rally to Read.
• 600 comfort packs for child abuse survivors through Matla a Bana.

The R2 million raised marks one of PNA’s most successful community campaigns. Each Rand supports children and families in South Africa and Namibia.

Messages of gratitude

“We are grateful to be chosen again as a beneficiary of PNA Funky Socks Day. Every sticker and pair of bright socks help us support children and communities that deserve safety, dignity and opportunity. The generosity shown this year reminds us what happens when people come together with heart and purpose,” says Mette Kirsten, Head of Brand and Communications at Breadline Africa.

“Each pair of funky socks and stickers sold represented heart and hope, and every step taken helped change lives. We are proud of what our community achieved together,” adds Herman Botha, Senior Executive: Product and Marketing.

Looking ahead to 2026

Supporters are encouraged to look out for next year’s campaign, which promises bold goals and bright socks.

Breadline Africa thanks every PNA customer, partner, school, ambassador and business who joined the 2025 drive. Every pair of socks and sticker made a difference.
