Kfm 94.5 and Tracey Lange Cares unite to spread warmth this winter

96

As the winter chill settles in across the Western Cape, Kfm 94.5 is warming hearts with the return of the Tracey Lange Cares (TLC) initiative. This year, the leading radio station is calling on the community to join them in making a difference for children in need by donating blankets, scarves, and beanies. It’s a heartfelt campaign aimed at ensuring that no child faces the biting cold alone.

Tracey Lange, the beloved host of Kfm 94.5’s Mid-Mornings show, is at the forefront of this compassionate effort, rallying her listeners to come together for this noble cause. The TLC Party, while not a political entity, embodies community spirit and the joyous act of giving back. “At Kfm, we believe in the power of community and the joy of giving back. The TLC Party is our way of uniting our listeners in a meaningful cause that truly makes a difference,” expressed Hennie Myburgh, the station manager at Kfm 94.5.

From now until 15 July, members of the TLC Party will be collecting donations at various drop-off points across the region. Whether new, gently used, or handmade, every contribution holds significance in aiding local beneficiaries. The collected items will be distributed on 18 July in a celebration of Mandela Day, reinforcing the values of compassion and community service that Nelson Mandela championed.

  • Drop-off points:
    • Preferred Solutions: 3 Gardner Williams Ave, Somerset West (Beneficiary: Patch – Helderberg Child Abuse Centre)
    • Mugg & Bean (Participating branches): Various locations including Cavendish Square and Table Bay Mall (Beneficiary: Cupcakes of HOPE)

As the temperatures drop, the stakes are higher than ever to ensure that these vulnerable children are kept warm and supported.
