Still situated on the bustling Florida Road, Bean Bag Jazz Lounge has returned to reclaim its spot as Durban’s premier destination for a vibrant atmosphere, delectable cuisine, and exceptional live music. Known for its lively atmosphere, mouthwatering cuisine, and outstanding live music, Bean Bag Jazz Lounge is back to bring you the ultimate culinary and jazz experience.

Bean Bag Jazz Lounge offers a diverse menu featuring traditional African dishes with a contemporary twist, alongside popular international favorites. With a fully stocked bar and an inviting ambiance, it’s the perfect spot for an unforgettable night out.

Thursdays are Bohemia Nights, Every Thursday, join us for Bohemia Nights, when the lounge transforms into a haven of Bohemian charm, reminiscing on the old Bean Bag Bohemia bringing back old memories and relieving them again every Thursday.

Friday Night Lights with Live Jazz Kick off your weekends with our Friday Night Lights, featuring live jazz performances that set the perfect tone for a spectacular evening.

Saturdays are Better with Jazz Every Saturday, from 7 PM till late, immerse yourself in the soulful sounds of live jazz music. Our stage hosts the finest local and international jazz musicians, making Saturday nights an event to remember.

Sunday Soul Sessions Join us every Sunday from 1 PM for our Sunday Soul Sessions and Sunday Buffet. The Sunday Soul Sessions include a live band and DJs for the rest of the day while enjoying the buffet and lamb spit braai.

A Legacy Reborn, Bean Bag was an iconic part of Durban, where the city came alive. It was a place of unforgettable memories, friendships, and lively nights of music and joy. The diverse crowd and free-spirited atmosphere made it a home for everyone. As we reopen, we aim to recreate those cherished memories and do it even better. From November 2024, we roared back to life, bringing back the epic nights and creating new bonds at the all-new Bean Bag Jazz Lounge.
