After his contract job ended unexpectedly, Gino decided to forge his own path by launching Mzansi Blue Digital Marketing, his initial foray into the world of business. With a modest R12 000 monthly retainer from his first client – a pet insurance company – he delved into the realm of digital marketing. Reflecting on those early days, Gino admits candidly, “I had no idea how to run a business. I didn’t even know how to send an invoice!”
But what Gino lacked in experience, he made up for with a fierce dedication to learning and adjusting. Within months, the small venture evolved beyond social media management into an established media and events agency, thanks to Gino’s tenacity and vision.
Today, Mzansi Blue has carved a niche in hosting global events and amplifying brand presence, including renowned projects such as the Sponsorship and Media Liaison for the Netball World Cup 2023 Fan Park and the iconic CT Festive Lights event in Cape Town.
