Miss Cosmo South Africa’s Luxurious Leap into the Global Spotlight

Organisers of the Miss Cosmo South Africa has just unveiled its latest jewel – a crown fit for a queen, designed by the world-renowned Ricardo Patraca and shipped from the heart of Mexico. 

The “Enkosi” crown is a masterpiece of luxury and artistry and a symbol of SA’s bold entrance onto the Miss Cosmo world stage. Set to be worn by the stunning Lebohang Raputsoe, reigning Miss Cosmo South Africa, who will represent SA at the Miss Cosmo International 2024 in Vietnam, this crown is poised to capture the world’s attention, an exquisite piece of craftsmanship features rare gemstones and intricate detailing that reflect the brilliance and sophistication of the Miss Cosmo brand. 

Ntombi Gumede, Miss Cosmo South Africa Director, says: “We are looking forward to making history! We trust Lebohang to bring the crown home, given the impactful team, working with the likes of Hollywood costumes for our uniquely revolutionary national costume; South Africa’s top coach Merv Marv from M&M Coachings, gifted Vietnamese designer Tan Lee, Photographer Bjorn Smit, Mayne International for hair, Nude Lash for lashes, Tiaancoz for the top tier face beats and hairstyling, to name a few, hence. we are guaranteed to deliver.” 

Lebohang is a former Crown Chasers cast member, currently pursuing her doctoral degree in Human Resources Management and holds a Master’s Degree in Human Resources Management and degrees in Industrial Psychology and Labour Relations Management. 

A former Miss SA 2023 finalist, she considers herself a transformation, progression, and inclusion activist, passionate about empowerment with a focus on stimulating intellectual conversations through design and critical thinking. She runs youth empowerment and development programmes and has also become a mentor to young children who have an interest in becoming international models. 

With over 70 countries confirmed to participate, it is a global event that promises to set new standards in beauty, intelligence, and cultural representation. Former president of Miss Universe Paula Shugart, is one of the judges.

  • The Miss Cosmo world competition will be held in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam on 5 October 2024.
