Karabo Peter joins Jacaranda FM’s ‘The Drive with Rob & Roz’ as sports presenter

Jacaranda FM has appointed Karabo Peter as the new sports presenter for its award-winning afternoon drive show, ‘The Drive with Rob & Roz’.

Peter joins Rozanne McKenzie and Rob Forbes on weekdays from 16:00 to 19:00. Her first broadcast is set for Monday, 3 August 2026.

From community radio to Jacaranda FM

Peter has built her career across broadcasting, journalism and digital media, with a focus on sport and storytelling.

She began working in community radio as a sports reporter before freelancing for YFM. She later joined VOW 88.1 as a sports anchor on its drive show, where she remained for two years.

Her experience also includes professional voice work and contributions to SABC’s ‘The Journos Vodcast’, where she participated in discussions about sport and journalism.

Peter also writes for good-news publication Good Things Guy, covering positive change and the people making a difference.

Jacaranda FM programme manager Ravi Naidoo says the appointment reflects the station’s commitment to identifying and developing the next generation of South African broadcasting talent.
