Destiny’s Child was the music group that had us dancing in our living rooms and lip-syncing to some of the biggest songs of a generation. Say My Name and Cater 2 U had many of us locked into sisterhood love mode.
Kelly Rowland was part of that iconic trio, and that was how she first rose to fame. The group later branched into solo careers, and Kelly built a strong path of her own.
She is now promising a return to music in 2026 with a new album, and many fans believe she will not disappoint.
A powerful chapter at 44
Kelly Rowland, now 44, looks set to step into one of the most meaningful years of her life. Some say there is power in double numbers and in your forties. According to L’Officiel magazine, she is set to release a new album in 2026. This will be her first full-length record since Talk a Good Game in 2013, released 12 years ago.
More than a solo legacy
“In addition to the four LPs she’s put out on her own, Rowland’s discography also includes the five chart-topping albums that she recorded with Destiny’s Child in the late 1990s and early 2000s.”
In July this year, fans saw her reunite on stage with Beyoncé Knowles and Michelle Williams during the Las Vegas finale of Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter Tour.
Hopes for a Destiny’s Child moment
With that reunion still fresh, many are hoping for another moment where Destiny’s Child supports Kelly’s new album. With 2026 drawing closer, interest continues to grow around what artists are planning and preparing for the year ahead.
Kelly Rowland’s message for 2026
Speaking to L’Officiel, Kelly shared her words for the year ahead:
“Watch your tongue, and watch how you speak to yourself. What you say to yourself, you will become. It will be manifested. So feed yourself words that nurture you and help you become a better version of yourself. You deserve it. I would also say, when you feel like you just can’t go another step, think about all that’s ahead, waiting for your beauty, your grace, your intelligence, your talent, your heart. The world needs you.”
Looking ahead
Cheers to new music, fresh perspective, and the wisdom that comes with every new chapter.
