Amidst much fanfare Mr Engelbert Humperdinck was warmly welcomed in Cape Town on a decidedly chilly, rainy day on Saturday, 13 July by hotel management and staff who embraced him with song and dance in true African style.

That afternoon Mr Humperdinck and his team of musicians and crew were treated on an exclusive wine tasting and dinner at world renown Groot Constantia, where Ricardo Mackenzie, the Western Cape Minister of Cultural Affairs and Sport, welcomed Mr Humperdinck in honour of ‘The Last Waltz’ Farewell Tour.  He remarked: ”Groot Constantia is South Africa’s oldest wine-producing farm who has been creating legendary wine since 1685, and here today we too have an international icon with us who has brought us legendary music for over 5 decades – cheers to you Mr Humperdinck!”

Following his incredible performance in Pretoria at the jam-packed SunBet Arena on Friday night Cape Town is in for an unforgettable experience.   Get ready to take a trip down memory lane as Mr Humperdinck takes to the stage at 16h00 this afternoon to a sold-out Grand Arena at GrandWest, bringing you  timeless classics like, ‘Release Me’, ‘Quando’, ‘The Last Waltz’, ‘A Man Without Love’ and many more.

Enjoy the show Cape Town!
